It's that time of year! Every year around this time, the sickness kicks in and the colds and flus come calling. Very annoying! Emma was the first to come down with the flu, 2 weeks ago and was quite sick for a complete 12 hours of constant vomiting. It was pretty painful to watch but I'm sure was even worse for her, especially as she cannot handle sickness of any kind! Then this past Saturday night, Logan woke up at 1:00 in the morning vomiting, and continued for almost 48 hours! His flu seemed so much more than Emma's and only today does he feel better. We were praying like crazy that it would just stop with them, but 11:00 Monday night, Sophia began to vomit, and every 5-10 minutes after she brought up, even if there was nothing to bring up. Charles & I took her to the Children's Hospital where they realized she was on her way to being dehydrated and immediately put her on intravenous. While they were putting the iv in, Charles fell into a chair, the color of paper and was sweating, and extremely nauseous. He ran to a bathroom and on his return, the doctor brought in a bed for him and gave him medication as well. So I got to sit all night with a sick baby and a sick husband in a wonderful hospital room. It was actually a horrible experience as Sophia continued to retch all night until about 5 am. We were praying so hard for her as well as a few friends I had texted. I truly believe God healed her as after 5, she seemed to recover quickly and was actually hungry within a couple hours! Of course she had small amounts until today, and is now doing much better! We are of course praying Sara stays well, and so far she is fine! Charles is better as well, thank God! I have to say, I hate the flu! Argh!!!
