Moving Day!

Well today and tomorrow we make the big move. I am so tired, stressed out, maxed, well, you name it and we haven't even left yet...lol! A kind of neat thing happened Wednesday night though. Our landlord called us and said, hey I have a house that just came up that's closer to you, and it's available for the same day; do you want to take a look? So we did and wow...what a beautiful house! So much nicer than the original one we were supposed to move into and only $100 more a month. And it has a wood burning fireplace, a garage, 5 bedrooms, and so much more that the other place did not have! God is amazing!!! On a down note, I will not have internet until the 26th, so once I am back up and running I will post pics of our move, the house and the girls' birthday party. Anyone reading this that was invited to the birthday party for the girls for the 22nd-it is still on, but change of venue-it will be at our house now 155 Beddington Circle-please comment to let me knoe you got this!!! Wow...our girls are 1 today...so hard to believe that this year has flown by so quickly, and our babies have grown so much. Looking at the pictures of them at 3 pounds in incubators, one year ago, then at 2 months for their baby shower, and now...God is so good! They have come such a long way. Yep, once again, we are packing up and moving location! Sigh...my parents moved out Friday into their own VERY nice place just a couple blocks from here. Alas, we are so not able to afford living here($2300 a month we are paying!!!)so we have to move. After praying and alot of frustration and discouragement, the landlord my parents have offered us a house he has only 5 minutes from here in Huntington-for $1200 a month!!! Sooo, the painful horrid process of moving is upon us once again, for September 1st...and for those who are atrting to freak out about school, it's still on! The basement of our new place is perfect for home schooling, thank God!!!

Sophia has finally got her two bottom teeth after weeks of teething miserably! Sara is teething as well, but there is no sign of any teeth for her...but Sara has mastered the art of sitting up and is so proud!!! She is a bit wobbly, but unlike Sophia who has no desire to even try sitting up, she is doing great!!! They will be 11 months on the 5th of July, that big day only a month away!!!

So my mom and Emma & Logan flew out to Montreal at 1:00am Tuesday and this is now my third day alone with just me, the girls and my 4 year old dayhome child. It's been...quiet, chaotic, calm, crazy...well, you get it! It's really weird not having Emma and Logan racing around my house, but the girls definitely keep me hopping. It doesn't help that they are still battling the nasty colds they picked up yet again last week. It's been nice for my dad though as he is spending more time with them than he usually does, and that is helping me so I can actually get things done, wheeeee!!! I miss you my beautiful babies, can't wait to see you in a couple weeks!!!

So, did my measurements today, down only a couple more inches, but so seeing it!!! Down 22 pounds total, and LA is changing thier program to make food choices easier and I am so excited! Also, May 20th is family and friends day, anyone interested and comes in with me that day gets 50% off the entire program(total cost would be about $700 for approx 2 year program-varies according to weight-not the cost, the time)

Sophia came home Saturday night, and Sara came home today. Both girls are much improved, thank you Jesus! Sara is still on antibiotics to stave off pneumonia as she is still quite congested, and she is still not eating and sleeping up to par. But God has been good, and steadily, our babies are getting better. I am also feeling better thank you for your prayers!

Aaaaaannndddd...I FIT THE SKIRT!!!! Wheeeeee, quite nicely too, I am so thrilled! I go in for my measurements tomorrow, so we'll see....but my scale says I am now down...23 pounds!!!

Sophia is now off her oxygen tubing, but is very slow to pick up on her eating. She lost almost a pound and a half in the last week, so they are wanting to get her back up that much or more before releasing her. She is almost completely back to being herself, just needs lots of sleep, and snuggles.

Sara is still on oxygen, being at the peak of the virus, but improving gradually. The eye infection she contracted is not going away, and is due to first being premature, she was more able to get this than a full term baby, but also not being up to date on her immunizations contributed to it as well. They are getting both girls their 2nd immunizations on Monday. I am still not allowed in to see them as I am still quite sick, and I am going crazy not being able to be there! My mom is spending most of her time there, and thank you Corinne and Sherri for going in to sit with them as well. It's hard to snuggle two babies at the same time, when on opposite sides of the room, on two different tubings! Please continue to pray for our family, thank you so much for everything!

I have come home this evening to get some much needed sleep. Sara was admitted last night and is in worse shape than Sophia was. She is on higher levels of oxygen, antibiotics, IV, and is so miserable. Sophia smiled a few times today and by tonight was laughing at things, thank you Jesus! She is much improved, though still needs the oxygen for a day or two. I myself slipped over to the doctor tonight and I have the same Viral strain, just in a diferent manner of course. It doesn't help that I am just now getting some sleep...lol! Thank you for your prayers, please keep praying for Sara, she is not well, though small changes are happening.

Urgent Prayer Requested

I am asking for prayer for my family! Sophia has been admitted to hospital with RSV, a respiratory virus that is very strong, and causes their breathing to be harsh, hard, and their oxygen levela have plummeted because of it. Sophia is on day 6 of it and is showing signs of improvement after being on oxygen for the last 24 hours, as well as masks with medicine and suctioning her airways. Sara is only on day 3 and the peak is day 5, so please pray she does not get worse, only better, so she does not have to be hospitalized as well. It doesn't help that I have not slept in almost 6 days, and have a sore throat, a runny nose, have lost my voice, and had a 24 hour flu hit me last night. My mom has been a huge help, but is on her last legs as well, so we really need your prayers!

Ok, so just finished my third week, and am now down just over 13 pounds. I am proud of this as there are so many things that can cause fluctuation in weight loss, but to lose it and keep it off is the challenge! For an average of 4 pounds a week, that is amazing for me! The exercise dvds we are doing are really great too, and once I start it, I can get into it, it's just turning it on! LOL! My kids love exercising with me, I'll have to get a video clip here soon of them doing it, it's so cute! The girls just lay there and giggle at us, of course...speaking of them, they will be 8 months old on Sunday! Wow, time flies!!! I'll post pics then. They are eating almost everything they can get their little hands on, and I have to watch my plate because they are constantly trying to take my food too! They love yogurt, squash, peas, all the good stuff!!!
They had their first immunizations 2 weeks ago...I think it was harder for me than it was for them, but it was tough because they don't give just one shot anymore, they give 3 separate ones...eeee! Thank God they didn't react after the fact, except for a slight fever overnight. I know they need it, it's just so hard to see them in pain...I still have horrible flashbacks to when Emma had her first one and they bruised her because the needle moved and put a small tear in her skin. That was traumatic-to this day she freaks when she has to get a needle, no matter where it goes. It didn't help that she had two teeth removed at age 5 and the dentist had to dig in her gums because the tooth broke off-she is so scared of dentists now, but I think we are winning the battle with that one, we found a gentle one who has been good to her.

I started my program one week ago tomorrow, and as of now, am 7 pounds down. I was 9 pounds lighter, but as we all know, factors contribute to yo-yo weight loss. My eating is awesome though, I love this program, I am almost never hungry! I eat pretty much every two hours, and I bought the cookbook which is full of yummy recipes that are so awesome for portions and healthy! I will share some as I go along, and please, just try a few and you'll be hooked! I am going to post a picture every 20 pounds I lose, and I am so excited to see it all come off!

Whew, those two days of detox were horrid! No carbs or starches of any kind and ooooh, did I ever crave them! When I walked into the center yesterday, my counsellor threw her arms over her head and said, Don't hit me!!! LOL! It was pretty bad, but I lost 4 pounds so it was worth it! As of today I have lost 7 pounds this week, great start to my weight loss program!!! I am so excited to just keep losing. Today I go back to eating normally, less of course, but I had toast for breakfast!!! Yea!!!

The Program Begins

So I joined LA Weight Loss yesterday and as a strat to the program, I am on a two day cleanse with a fruit juice they provide. For these two days, I am to stay away from starches, dairy and condiments, which will be reintroduced Wednesday. I love the way the program is set up because they plan your food around what you already have in your home, so it's not dieting, it's better choices, smaller portions and learning how to cook delicious food that is better for you! My mom and my dad are doing the program with me, so with their partnership, we are going to do this!!! Rachel, you are so amazing, I am so happy for you! I hope we get to see you when you are here in Alberta?!? Mel, you look great! I can't wait until we can go shopping together for our size 10 clothes!!! And to all you ladies who are with us, we can do this, together!!!

I have to share something hilarious that happened yesterday. Neil Lewars came and told me Sunday morning, Janae was asking to take her doll baby to church. He told her she couldn't take it, so she huffily told him,"Well, if Amy can bring her babies to church, I can bring mine!!!" We had a good laugh over that one!!!

I start my program today-LA Weight Loss-and I am excited to see the progress of my weight loss. We received a wonderful income tax this year-thank God-so we were able to pay some debt and do a few things we have wanted to do for a while!

Ok, Ok, I know, it's been forever, well, almost since I posted. I am actually having some problems with my contacts, and will be getting a new pair of glasses tomorrow(the first pair of glasses I have had in over 10 years!) I can't wait, as my eyes need that break! Things are well, rolling along...my babies are now 6 months old, and growing so fast! I had a terrible night last night with Sara who is teething big time, and was awake almost all night screaming. Poor baby...on a better note, Sophia slept through the night last night!!! Yea!!! God knew I needed at least a little break...lol!

After the christening of his baby brother in church,
Jason sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car.
His father asked him three times what was wrong.
Finally, the boy replied,
'That preacher said he wanted us brought up in a Christian home,
And I wanted to stay with you guys.'

One particular four-year-old prayed,
'And forgive us our trash baskets
As we forgive those who put trash in our baskets.'

A Sunday school teacher asked her children as they
Were on the way to church service,
'And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?'
One bright little girl replied,
'Because people are sleeping.'

A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin 5, and Ryan 3.
The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake.
Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson.
'If Jesus were sitting here, He would say,
'Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait.'
Kevin turned to his younger brother and said,
' Ryan , you be Jesus !'

A father was at the beach with his children
When the four-year-old son ran up to him,
Grabbed his hand, and led him to the shore
Where a seagull lay dead in the sand.
'Daddy, what happened to him?' the son asked.
'He died and went to Heaven,' the Dad replied.
The boy thought a moment and then said,
'Did God throw him back down?'

A wife invited some people to dinner.
At the table, she turned to their six-year-old daughter and said,
'Would you like to say the blessing?'
'I wouldn't know what to say,' the girl replied.
'Just say what you hear Mommy say,' the wife answered.
The daughter bowed her head and said,
'Lord, why on earth did I invite all these people to dinner?'

Lifestyle change update

As of today, I have lost 10 pounds! Yea!!! The most I have lost in one weight loss challenge was 40 pounds in 2006, and that was on Herbal Magic, and took 4 months. But there was no exercise at all; this time I am doing the 5 mile walk(3 miles right now)3 times a week. I cannot wait to drop a skirt size; I have a row of skirts just waiting for me!!!
